Val di Chiana

The Valdichiana Senese has blurred boundaries like the lightness of its sunrises, like the redness of the sunsets reflecting in the still sea of the Crete, on the fascinating “biancane”, in the gorges of the Orcia, boundaries that flash across the sheets of water of Chiusi and Montepulciano, sinking into the deep mystery of the etruscan civilization, bounce on the roughness of Cetona and finally flow vital in the sources of Chianciano and San Casciano. Visiting it means being in tune with a tuning fork that makes all the chords vibrate: from those of history that fades into legend and Etruscan mystery, to those of pleasure that becomes well-being.

Chiusi

Chiusi is a small and quiet town located at the southernmost edge of Tuscany and was, once, one of the most important cities of the Etruscan Empire in the period between the 7th and 5th centuries BC. The city today is an enchanting harmony of Etruscan ingenuity, Roman skill and medieval battles.

Cetona

Cetona is a small town, a jewel set in a picture-postcard landscape. We find ourselves in front of one of those medieval cities where time seems to have stopped.

Montepulciano

Montepulciano is a medieval town of rare beauty, well worth a visit! The village stands out for its elegant Renaissance buildings, ancient churches, splendid squares and small hidden corners where it is possible to admire unique views of the Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana.

Trequanda

Trequanda is located on the border between the Val d’Orcia and the Crete Senesi. The municipality received the orange flag of the Italian Touring Club and in 2018 was included in the national register of historic rural landscapes.

Sinalunga

Sinalunga is a small town located in the Val di Chiana Senese, the original land of Chianina meat, the largest breed of calves in the world. The town, is surrounded by green vineyards and olive trees, making it an ideal place for nature lovers.

San Casciano dei Bagni

Forty-two hot springs, at a temperature of 40 degrees. In San Casciano dei Bagni, the thermal baths have attracted visitors since Roman times. From border castles such as Fighine to the villages of Celle Sul Rigo and Palazzone, from gastronomic traditions to gullies, breathtaking landscapes and travertine. An intimate, extreme border territory which sees the continuous passage of travellers.
